Choosing the right size
The most common question is not the flavour, it is the size. Count one slice per guest for a children’s party, and one and a half if the cake is the only dessert of the evening.
Above thirty guests, a two-tier cake cuts more cleanly and travels far better than one very large disc.
Flavours that work
Chocolate remains the safest choice, especially for children: our ganache is made from the same chocolate we work with in store, with no added flavouring.
We also make less-sweet versions on request. Mention it when ordering — it changes the filling recipe, not just the icing, so it is not a last-minute adjustment.
On the day
Cakes travel flat, never tilted, and do not cope with an hour in a hot car boot. Collect as close to the event as you can.
Straight from the fridge, a ganache cake is at its best after twenty to thirty minutes at room temperature.
Frequently asked questions
How far in advance should I order?
Allow forty-eight hours for a personalised cake, and longer around public holidays. For complex decoration, contact us a week ahead.
Can you make a peanut-free cake?
Yes, tell us when ordering. Our workshop handles nuts, so we cannot guarantee the complete absence of traces — we would rather say so plainly.
Do you deliver to homes?
Collection in store is the rule for assembled cakes, because transport determines the result.
